Publisher's Synopsis
Arthur Murray's story begins in the depths of the Great De-pression in Seattle, Washington. With Irish-Catholic roots he was the youngest of three sons raised by his mother. Guided by his family and many mentors, Art was able to succeed by willing himself toward a better life. His thirty-seven year career as a Civilian Accountant, Auditor, and Comptroller with the U.S. Army took him around the world, where he uncovered fraud and corruption by high-ranking uniformed officers and govern-ment officials. He often worked against insiders who stood by and allowed American taxpayers to be wantonly gouged of their tax dollars. The result has contributed to the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression-and to a National Debt that is out of control.
