Publisher's Synopsis

This is a collection of 9 pieces of work (not 8, hence the awkwardness of the octopus) -three theatre scripts: "The Key" produced in 1999 for young people, "Colours" printed here in French and in English having been performed in both languages in both countries and "Summer in Pleurigat," which has never been produced but should be, in both English and bilingual English/French complete with director's observatory notes. There's a screenplay "Like Riding a Bike," two essays "Four Great Brits" (an English reading exercise), "Five Chinese Girls" (a dream interpretation), and "On Deltombe" (an explanation of the importance of Impressionist art and French artist Paul Deltombe). There's also a short scene from Shakespeare's "Richard III" edited for film and notes on the legend of Icarus, unused material from my book "Past Imperfect." In short, neglected work in need of an audience. "But is it safe?" you ask. Well, I'm not going to tell you what's good for you. Few of us can be good at both creating original work and selling it, not without retaining the strong sense of objectivity needed to stop ourselves disappearing up our own egos, unless of course ego itself is the product. Anything is possible.
