Publisher's Synopsis
Jennie Morton was a child ballet performer and subsequently has become a professional singer and performer. More recently, she has been working with the British and American Performing Arts Medicine associations to look at the psycological aspects of performance. She draws on her own experience of 'hiding behind the mask' as a performer, and also uses interviews to deliver reality issues - from being stalked, to dealing with physical and psychological issues of performance - from the demands of daily and sometimes twice daily performance on the injured body, to the very real issues of stage fright. Every teacher and student of the performing arts should read this book.
