In an old Victorian home at the very end of the Nineteenth Century, Professor Gustav Wainscott is performing a bizarre medical experiment on a mysterious boy. Meanwhile in a religious fervor, riotous mobs, fearful about the end of the civilized world, are destroying and burning down towns and villages. But there are other troubles as well. An insensitive banker conveys bad news to the Wainscott family that their family residence will be repossessed. This dark and surreal comedy is a strange tale about family secrets, love, madness, lust and fear. In the end, no one suspects that the strange boy may be everyone's salvation.
