The Aspens is the second novel in the 'Better Than A Known Way' series. During that time there were wildfires, wars and bank failures that caused people to bond together to make a difference for good in one another's lives. Elise and Mark provide a continuing story of love and devotion which survived adversity and well-intentioned relatives. Neighbors comment how frequently the couple brings an element of surprise and joy to their little town. And romance seems to be in the air for a few other characters as well.
