Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Antigone of Sophocles in Greek and English: With an Introduction and Notes
The notes are not intended to furnish a running commentary on the text. They dwell only on those passages in which I thought that the text was really in want of a fuller exegesis, or where I had an emendation to propose and justify. But the version itself will serve the same purpose as a body of notes written in.
