Successful handicapping is a matter of common sense use of the items of racing. No figures can supply the ?exible measure that must be applied to the fields of horses by the turf mathematician. Acquaintance with individuals horses and men - is the keenest item in handicapping. NO figures can give an idea of the liking of horses for different kinds of soil, or human combinations. Both are matters of personal observation and judgment.
