Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from The American Journal of Clinical Medicine, 1913, Vol. 20: Dependable Therapeutic Fact for Daily Use

To acute maladies, dosimetry opposes a sharp and active treatment, while chronic maladies are combated by more deliberate methods of treatment. That is to say, in acute maladies the treatment must proceed as rapidly as the disease, in order to prevent organic disturbances; but in chronic maladies the treatment should proceed slowly, in proportion to the lengthened duration of the disease.
