Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Alienation of Church and People
Nothing substantial of all the achievements of Christian history will be lost in this reconstruction of theology which has been under taken by liberal theologians. Ere long they will accomplish their task, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. But until that time the alienation between the Church and modern thought will continue. It will probably increase in the United States of America, rather than diminish, through the present generation. But early in the next century we may hope that a new theology will advance to the front of human learning and will become once more the mother and queen of all truth.
