John Childs is an outcast among his junior high school peers. He finds refuge in a fantasy world where he imagines himself as space hero Jonathan Starchild. After a freak accident, John wakes up to find that his fantasy world is real. He is Starchild, guardian of a universe populated and run by kids. As he struggles to overcome his personal issues of low self-worth and guilt over his absentee father, he must save Earth from a larger threat, the bully who had plagued him so in his previous life.
