Lily and Jack were not looking forward to leaving the big city of London to move to Pickworth Lodge which was, in their view, in the middle of nowhere. Convinced there would be nothing to do, no one to play with and nowhere to go the two children were surprised when they made friends with Naomi and her animals. They were even more surprised when Art and his family came to stay in the area, which led them to a most unexpected adventure. The two children soon came to discover that living in the country would be more interesting than they could ever have imagined.
