If there are patterns, they sometimes repeat. Perhaps we leave the words to the wind, in the same way that the wind might spin a thaumatrope - this time one thing, then the next. Or, we can be more purposeful as we move from one to the next, rather like navigating the table of contents in Julio Cortázar's novel, Hopscotch. Now we understand the story one way; now we understand it another. Sophia and Jonah embark upon a shared journey: a shared authorship of these glimpses of place, of direction, of each other. Sophia prompts us to re-imagine Euridice, we begin to speak other languages in Jonah's translations, or we re-learn the Latin where English is hardly sufficient.
