Publisher's Synopsis
Emilia Walker wanted to be happy. Maybe she could have been a better student. Maybe she could have been the person her parents wanted her to be. Maybe Katie would have stuck around. But Emilia wasn't happy. And she didn't want to exist in this world anymore. After choosing to take her own life, Emilia finds herself Purgatory instead of oblivion. The Afterlife isn't quite what Emilia was expecting, forcing her to spend her days working as a lumberjack with people from all walks of life, including irritable but quirky Ned. In an attempt to make the best of her new undesirable situation, Emilia finds that Purgatory just may help her come to terms with the choices she has made to battle her mental illness with the help of some friends she unexpectedly makes along the way.
