Publisher's Synopsis

In 1941, Terezin was converted into an ""model"" ghetto for Jews. It was actually a way station to Auschwitz. Gonda Redlich was deported to Terezin in December 1941 and became in charge of youth welfare. Before he was deported to Auschwitz, he concealed his diary, which was discovered in 1967.
