Publisher's Synopsis

Ten Commando was formed under the aegis of Mountbatten and earned the nickname of the "King's Own Enemy Aliens". It was a unique formation, and was comprised entirely of men whose countries were occupied by the Germans. Each troop had a national identity - including the top-secret X-Troop, which contained Germans. Small groups of Ten Commando served gallantly in the Norwegian raids, in the pre D-Day raids on mainland Europe, in Italy and Normandy.;Ian Dear served as a regular officer in the Royal Marines between 1953 and 1957 and saw active service in Cyprus.
