Publisher's Synopsis
This series arises out of the increasing need for the international dissemination of ongoing high quality empirical and theoretical research associated with rural areas in advanced societies. Local, national and international policies have direct influence upon rural areas, not only those concerned with agriculture but also development initiatives, overall economic and social policies, and regional and fiscal arrangements. Each edited volume will draw upon international contributors writing to a set theme.
