General Education. - Any one who is to teach gram mar grade pupils should have at the least a complete course in a high school or academy. If he expects to teach in a high school or academy, he Should have a college diploma; if in a college, nothing short of a post-graduate degree should be considered.

Special Training - After this general education, there should be a special training such as is given in the best normal schools. This should consist of professional studies, such as School Management, Methods of Teaching, History of Education, Practice Teaching.
