Publisher's Synopsis
This is a romantic novel about an American architect sent to India by an American-owned company to teach local young architects American standards of construction. While visiting some of the exotic temples and sights, he has an affair with an Indian co-worker in the office, for which he is beaten and hospitalized. Later he gets involved with a newly arrived American girl who instead is almost engaged to the boss's best friend. Nevertheless, they see many sights together including the famous Taj Mahal. Finally they secretly spend a week together in Goa, but end up getting caught by the girl's supposed fiancé. The affair concludes in conflict and a secret attempt to escape from India.
