Mr. Peterson. Thank you, please be seated. All of your written statements will be entered into the record, so you're welcome to summarize. I would like - the Treasury Department did not give us their testimony until just now, right? Which is in violation of the standing procedures, and written request and repeated staff calls.
I don't know exactly what the problem was, but it at least, to me, is not acceptable to be in this kind of a situation. The members and the staff have not had time to look at your statement when we're preparing and to be able to discuss it with other witnesses and so forth. So we, I guess, will take your statement as part of the record, but - well, I don't know what we can do about it, but, hope fully, this will not happen again. I don't know what the problem was, but it was something over in the White House or whatever, I guess it was being reviewed or something.
Mr. Foley. Right, we had to get it approved. It had to go through the regular review process.
Mr. Peterson. So if it's regular, are we going to always be in such a situation?
Mr. Foley. We will definitely work to ensure that that doesn't happen again.
Mr. Peterson. Well, I hope so. With that, Mr. Ross, again, wel come to the committee. We appreciate having you with us and look forward to your testimony.
