The Tarot of the Cosmic Seed is a luxe deck, full of uniquely portrayed imagery and symbolism with a diverse array of people and cultures. The saturated colors and layers of texture make each card its own experience. Created with digital art and collage, this deck uses the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition as a foundation-with a twist. There is a twenty-third card added to the Major Arcana-The Cosmic Seed. In an effort to decolonize the tarot, remove outdated ideas of hierarchy, and shift ingrained gender norms, Lalania has renamed all of the royalty cards, including the Hierophant, Emperor, Empress, and the court cards. The court cards in the Minor Arcana are often hard to interpret, and renaming them expands their interpretation into more of an energy signature rather than just personality types: Messenger (for Page), Action (for Knight), Nurturer (for Queen), and Mastery (for King).
