Publisher's Synopsis
It is the intention of this adaptation to expand traditional concepts of Lau-Tzu as a bridge to express the Tao for new age readers without losing the inherent wordless expression. By entering a contemplative-meditative state and expressing the Tao in sonnet form the tradition of Lao Tzu's original meaning remains intact. The Tao is a vast and ancient way of seeing one's Self through nature. It is a living vibrant quality that permeates every aspect of the universe. Man being an intrinsic part of his environment can stop and recognize this connection. In so doing he is brought into a broader understanding than his mind can fathom. This adaptation of the Tao Te Ching has been rendered into English sonnet form by the eminent meditation practicioner Simon Granville.
