Sturdy brawny jovial fellows, Bearded, beggar-proud and weaponed, Lusty supple limbs possessing, Skilled in tumbling and in dancing Men with stubby hedgehog bristles Girls with long hair thickly braided, Round and slender lissome figures With agreeable countenances Pouting ruby lips displaying, Brimming o'er with merry laughter, To their eager thievish lovers Sometimes yielding up their kisses. Of inherited special instincts Every feature was expressive. Sturdy and unfettered freedom.
