Publisher's Synopsis
Mister Tree: With their enemies seemingly out of sight, Master Wentworth, Miss Simmons and Sally are free to pursue their agenda of uniting of the two worlds. However, something momentous is about to happen. On a visit to the mountains with Miss Fortuna, Sally's pet baby dragon, Rocky, uncovers an astounding artifact. It turns out to be another ring, which, when tested, transports Sally and Miss Fortuna to a most unexpected Reality. The alien landscape is strange enough, but the two then meet the impossible. Although they find it difficult to believe, Miss Fortuna and Sally are confronted with a walking tree! And this is only the start of the weirdness, because the tree begins to 'talk' to them. Later on, in a nearby stream, Sally discovers something amazing, and this discovery commences a mental struggle with her conscience.
After returning back to her home world, Sally acts as a guide to Saul, only to find that her enemies aren't as dormant as she had hoped. She finds herself being followed by a group of strangers who don't appear to be very friendly. However, Saul suggests an improbable solution, which turns out to be very effective. In the meantime, Master Wentworth has recruited Sir Alex Wright, who has been chosen to lead the delegation to the new world, in order to put a treaty of co-operation into place. But will it work? Is the new world going to be receptive to these overtures?
