It is First Friday in the smoggy metropolis of Brimstone--a Victorian Era Pittsburgh. The city's artists, hustlers, and crazies are gathering along Penn Avenue for the monthly art shindig. Charlie Walk, a musician, is set to perform at First Friday with hopes of winning over a longtime crush. Rosemary Winslow, the daughter of two prominent artists, is hoping to survive her mother's photography exhibition in one piece. Nigel Walker, Charlie's downtrodden younger brother, is desperately seeking a cure for his longstanding loneliness. All three youths will venture away from their comfort zones and into the turbulent Brimstone night. Tales From The Steamfunk Era features an evening filled with mischief, gritty back alley chases, family drama, heartbreak, steam-powered guitar amplifiers and DJ turntables, art shows, unexpected romances, and a healthy share of black humor and cynicism.
