Publisher's Synopsis
A report on a sequence of twenty-five closely-dated timber revetments which formed the embanking of the river Thames in the late Anglo-Saxon and early-medieval period. The excavations come from four sites, Billingsgate Lorry Park 1982-3, Seal House 1974, Trig Lane 1974-86, and Thames Exchange 1988-9.
