Publisher's Synopsis

This is the second murder/mystery involving Milo Herskovitz and Missus Gurley. Milo, a computer geek, has a new life in small-town Dorado, on Florida's west-central coast, quietly running his computer store. Missus Gurley, a former Defense Advanced Research Project Agency researcher left the agency to hide in Durango, escaping DARPA's plans to upload human memory into Artificial Intelligence weapons of war. Missus Gurley, now elderly, contacted Milo for computer assistance. Unknown was her secret background. Speaking from her grave, with Milo using a listening device made from parts, she tells him how to revive her memory she loaded into a cellphone. This is where she now lives. She proves to be a scientific and technological wizard.Trapped inside the cellphone, she gets bored, wanting excitement. This conflict between them came to a head with her investigating the murder of a Florida fisherman on Lake Atcheanahoe. Milo, trying to help, barely avoids being killed by the culprit.Feeling bad about putting Milo into dangerous situations she persuades him to take a break with a visit to coastal Clear River, Florida to see manatees and to enjoy local seafood.Four violent murders, with skulls found in the springs where manatees are swimming, entice Missus Gurley to go back on her word to control herself, to stay out of trouble. Milo unable to stop her finds himself in the same sort of danger that Milo worries about when working with her.
