Publisher's Synopsis
It has been stressed that Christianity is a relationship. A relationship between God and man, in the first instance, and then, man and his fellow man, in the second. Aside other forms of relationships, Christianity is unique in the sense that it was initiated by God Himself not man. Unlike Religion which is likened to man's attempt to relate with his maker, Christianity, is the opposite, as it is God's attempt to reconcile and relate with man.
From the very start, God wanted every human being to love and live with Him forever . However, our first parents disobeyed God, and that disobedience separated them from God. To heal the separation created by disobedience ( sin ), God sent His son, Jesus Christ, not to judge or condemn us but to save us (John 3:16-17). God Could have chosen any number of paths, but he chose this one because He wanted to show us how he valued us. He chose the path that cost Him the most because it reveals His love the most. Our realization of this immense love is expected to spur us to reciprocate this love by loving and living our lives in the joy and ecstasy that is our heritage as children of God.
"The demands of our faith", brings to fore those qualities and parameters that define our faith. It equally lays bare those strategies the devil uses to hoodwink us, thus, preventing us from savouring the already won freedom Jesus had secured for us. It is a book of affirmation of the values of God and a ready arrow for victory.
