In the end comes a glad reunion, and also other good fortune for Jack, and Winifred's kind little heart has once more indirectly caused great happiness to others.Nina Rhoades (1863-1940), was a blind author, after a bout of scarlet fever in her youth. She wrote children's books for more than ten years, publishing dozens of books. Rhoades was a friend of Helen Keller. She lived in New York City, and and spent her winters in Cambridge with friends. She wrote all her works by typewriter, inspired by her boisterous and imaginative nieces and nephews.
