This book is about the Great Tribulation, the Last Days of Earth. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book of symbols reflecting the evil on Earth in the material realm. Satan's design to prevent trust in God, as the accuser of the brethren, and to make all people captives of Babylon the great is revealed. But God's unconditional love is illustrated as reality in the spiritual realm for the relief of stress. The Beast that rose up from the sea is symbolic for the collective unconscious minds of all who dwell on Earth causing broken lives, disease, and death to one-third of the population. It causes a man's enemies to be those of his own family, a division between the sexes, and much stress. The beast that came up out of the earth, 666, is the conscious minds of the people of Earth. It validates and enforces the activities of the sea beast and leads people away from God into materialism putting them under the Law of God. Since all have failed in keeping the Law, they live in the "wilderness" where there is a lack of water, but Jesus's symbol for eternal life is living water. Eagle's wings are a symbol for trying to keep God's Law to win eternal life. The bottomless pit is severe depression after an agreement in the unconscious mind to keep God's Law, having already failed. Smoke out of the pit is fear of God, and locusts with scorpions' sting stand for fear of death.
