SONTI addresses a bidding gap that is sorely needed to counter interference with constructive bidding after the opening bid of 1NT. There is one Convention, Lebensohl, that deals with this issue, but it is inadequate in it's application, counter intuitive, and difficult to learn, While developing SONTI, an effort was made to keep it as simple as possible. The complete system, or parts of the system, can be can be utilized by bridge players of every level, although more accomplished players will derive greater benefit than those with less ability. SONTI will introduce several new, innovative and effective bids. Once learned they can be applied in combination with the "old" bids such as "Transfers", "Stayman", "Puppet Stayman" and "Stolen Bids", along with the bidding skills you already possess, to reach the best contract..
