Publisher's Synopsis
SWIMMING IN BETHESDA depicts man's fallen nature. It teaches us that without God in our life, our flesh simply cannot bear the morbid pattern of lifestyles some of us live under without Christ, our Rock. Notwithstanding the daily routine of being robotically numb. The fragments of this earthen body of ours is just an empty vessel created by God and purposed for His glory. Each short story gives a preview of how God showed up at the right time to declare His glory and mercy. SWIMMING IN BETHESDA short stories are derivative from the Book of John. It employs believers to come and be healed by the power of the Holy Spirit sent by an angel. God's gentle voice beckons the call for you to COME. Yes, just as you are - no baggage or need to pack a suitcase. The Book of Isaiah 55:1&3 says it better. "Everyone that thirst, come to the waters, and he that have no money, come... Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you." Under the terrane of these unstable times, we desperately need to lean on someone's' shoulder to love us, to care for us - faithfully. No one is true to their word to be that responsibility - but God. The people described in many of the stories are people like me and you. Most of us have to reach rock bottom before we succumb to the fact that we will die if the Lord does not come soon. But, there He stands - waiting to hear from you to receive you in His loving, That was what Jesus did in the short stories. He came to those who did not want to hear His name - but by the mercy of God, they were saved and made whole. Our Heavenly Father rides upon the wings of the wind, seeking those who are in need of a Savior. He has made Himself available at any hour to deliver you from your burdens. Try Him and see for yourself that He can and will be all that is written in this small space. I hope and pray that this book encourages you and lifts you up in a special way. My fervent prayer is that it inspire you to Never Give Up and Quit. If God placed a task before you, He will make provisions for you to finish the task set before you. Be strong in Him all of your days. The Lord will not answer your prayers when you want Him to, but He promises that He would complete His work and will answer prayers in His time. Please voice your reviews at the end of your reading, whether a comment about your faith, or a grey area that is not clear to you. I would greatly appreciate it. May the Lord richly Bless and keep you all of your days!
