Publisher's Synopsis
Marcel Proust's semi-autobiographical novel In Search of Lost Time or Remembrance of Things Past (French: la recherche du temps perdu) is published in seven volumes. His most famous work, it is well-known for its duration and the idea of involuntary memory, with the "episode of the madeleine" being the most famous example. The title In Search of Lost Time, a more precise rendering of the French, is still commonly referred to in English as Remembrance of Things Past.
