Publisher's Synopsis
The study of superplasticity and superplastic forming (SPF) has been increasing steadily over the past 15 years. This volume examines the current state of the technology with a focus on technological applications of superplastic forming and the mechanistic behaviour of superplastic materials.;This volume is a compilation of papers presented at the 1995 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, February 12-16, 1995. The 32 papers are organized into five major categories: processing, microstructure and superplasticity of light alloys; superplasticity in high-temperature materials and MMCs; mechanistic aspects; mechanics of superplastic flow and forming processes; and diffusion bonding process/post-formed properties.
