As a protagonist, Libby is occasionally insufferable and sometimes even downright cruel to those around her, but that's what makes the book so refreshingly honest. As stated on the very first page, this isn't Eat, Pray, Love. Instead it's a story of how much life can suck sometimes and what people do to deal with that.
