A technology that will change the concepts of self and other, love and death. This is just the pilot. Following the pioneering technology of the new Hivemind, we follow the stories of six individuals (who can be cast gender blind) in their experiences of this new life. SUM follows these characters who have entered this contract. The Hivemind enables them to share their thoughts and feelings in a much more intimate way than the illusions of our social media. They question the concepts that we have accepted since time began - love, birth, war and loss. Who is the pioneer of the technology? Who will use it for good (whatever that means in this reality) and who will use it to further their own ends? Should everyone be able to connect?
