Sue will capture a place in your heart--she has overcome so much with what many of us perceive as so little. At the age of 18 months, she suffered an instant and total loss of hearing. Her parents vowed to do whatever they could to enable her to become part of the "hearing world," so they enrolled her in a special school where she learned to speak and read lips. At the young age of seven, Sue became the youngest Ohio State Champion free-style skater in skating history. Later she took trumpet and piano lessons and became an accomplished classical pianist. Sue's parents encouraged her in all her endeavors, explaining that with God's help, she could accomplish anything. After college and graduate school, Sue's hard work finally paid off when she was hired by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. Her superb ability to read lips led to work in undercover surveillance. Despite her success with the FBI and widespread esteem in the nation's capitol. Sue was not satisfied. Following further graduate studies, she had but one desire: to go and proclaim the love and forgiveness of God. In this endeavor, Sue speaks nationally before civic, professional and church groups. She is interviewed regularly on television and radio. She has also authored her best selling autobiography, "Silent Night." When not on the road speaking. Sue lives in Ohio with her golden retriever. But Sue's amazing story does not end there. She has been diagnosed with the debilitating illness Multiple Sclerosis which predominantlyaffects her mobility and vision. Yet she meets this challenge head-on as she has every other obstacle on life's journey.
