Publisher's Synopsis
The theme of this book is the dynamic relationship between retailing and planning and competition policy. It embraces the thrust of earlier work by the present authors (Public Law and the Retail Sector) in which they focused on the tolerant legal climate conductive to the arrival of the so called 'retail revolution'. This book, which views the subject in retrospect and prospect, takes a broader stance. It places the earlier material in the context of later developments, explores current issues at the interface of the trade and the regulatory regimes, and considers what the future may bring.
