This book is about a dog named Stranger who was abandoned by his owner. Stranger is the narrator, who describes how he survives in the woods, without food or shelter while he is hoping to find a new home. After a long search, he is found by a lady named Aubrey who slowly wins Stranger's trust by caring for him after he has made his way to an area behind her home.
