As Grainne raced to escape the god-like Lord Rorric she was stopped by an siren-like call coming from somewhere deep within his fortress. A call that led her to a secret room occupied only by a pedestal holding Noumenon, a marble sized ruby that held the stolen powers her master used. The moment she saw it, she knew she would take it. The moment she took it, she knew she'd painted an entirely new target on her back.
With her stolen bounty Grainne slipped into the night with no plan where to go, with no one she could rely on. Her flight for freedom would lead her to an unexpected ally and a quest to bring down the man that had used her. Not only to save herself, but to save the world he'd brought to the brink of destruction.
