This inspiring journey into healing art charts the experience of cancer survivors ranging in age, sex and race. With little prior experience they learned the artistic and technical skills necessary to create beautiful works which convey their experiences of surviving. Rather than submitting to the difficulties of cancer, these artists have fought to illuminate the significance not only of what people see, but also how they perceive, in the universally human process of finding new ways to view the world when confronted with hardship.
