"Stepping Out" is a resource-based geography course for the 11-14 age group designed for use across the complete ability range. This pack contains Books 1, 2 and 3 and the Teaching Guide, plus sample copymaster worksheets from Sets A and B for Books 1, 2 and 3.;The course contains three resource books which provide the core of the scheme and linked to each one there are two sets of copymaster worksheets - Set A for average and more able students and Set B for the average and less able.;The content is organized around six thematic modules which are repeated in each resource book: a place to live; workplace; moving around; environment; using natural resources; development and change.;It has the advantage that the teacher can choose the worksheet best suited to a student's ability and needs and also that the scheme can be used with mixed ability, settled or streamed classes. It also promotes activity-centred learning - the cornerstone of later GCSE work.
