Publisher's Synopsis
Yes, there are a great deal of errors in this unofficial technical manual produced in 1992 in Canada. And the drawings, while extensive across its 80 pages. But the astounding fact about this Star Trek Technical Manual is that it was made entirely by an 11 year old boy, in the early 1990s before any semblance of the internet was around. Astonishing to examine, the detailed documentation and original technical drawings in this book betray a creative skill to the 11 year old author well beyond their years. A wonderful and nostalgic examination of the Star Trek universe from the perspective of a child just as Star Trek: The Next Generation's popularity peaked in popular culture (and pre-Deep Space Nine). The amazing talent that oozes from this book more than make up for the errors and incompleteness. The author wrote and published the original manuscript themselves using an Apple Macintosh Classic computer and most of the drawings and text were completed in MacDraw and MacWrite, respectively. Digitized and reproduced with the author's permission. Enjoy!
