Publisher's Synopsis

All six of the popular stand-up comedian and impressionist's ITV specials, recorded between 1973 and 1982, plus his half-hour series from the 1970s and early 1980s, featuring comedy routines and his highly successful send-ups of popular films and television programmes. Also features two classic film comedies. In 'The Fast Lady' (1962), Baxter plays Murdoch Troon, a shy civil servant attracted to the vivacious Claire (Julie Christie), the daughter of a prominent businessman. In an attempt to impress Claire, Troon acquires a vintage Bentley racer, 'The Fast Lady', and undertakes a series of driving lessons to learn how to handle the car. Needless to say, Troon's attempts to impress Claire don't go entirely according to plan. In 'Father Came Too' (1964), Dexter Munro (Baxter) and his new wife Juliet (Sally Smith) get married and decide to escape Juliet's meddling father (James Robertson Justice) by buying a rundown cottage and doing it up themselves. But when the cottage proves to be more ramshackle than they thought, and the scale of the repairs needed far out of their budget, the newlyweds are forced into calling on Juliet's father after all. Before long he's employed incompetent builder Josh Wicks (Ronnie Barker), and the situation goes from bad to worse.
