Stan didn't think of himself as a hero, loyal yes, a roguishly tousled strawberry blond, most definitely, but not a hero. A small ginger, scruffy terrier was in fact, nearer the mark. Tumbling through the wardrobe, he gets trapped in a fairytale mash up of witches, dwarfs, werewolves, demons and of course a wicked Queen. Befriending a young girl called Hettie they set off to find her kidnapped family and a way home for him. He's nearly blown up a couple of times, has to fight demon squirrels and snaky-horse things, is stalked by an assassin in dangerous pants, and gets involved with a revolution. Through it all he finds courage and strength he didn't know he had.
But will they be in time to stop the Queen from building the infernal device and will he ever see home again?
