Stalker

Ever since Everest Porter found his mother hanging from a noose when he was twelve, his belief in humanity fractured. Now at age thirty, working as a customer service representative and living in the projects in Queens, his outlook is bleak at best. Every interaction he has, whether it is with his overbearing boss, his clueless co-workers, the dregs living in his neighborhood, only serves to reinforce his belief that there's no hope for the human race...until he sees her.
