Publisher's Synopsis

This book is a Vedantic text known as the Sri Adhyatam Parkash which was written by Kavi Sukhdev Singh. Kavi Sukhdev Singh was one of the court of poets under the guidance of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The text is one of the preliminary texts studied by Gursikhs prior to the knowledge of Gurbani. I have written this book in an attempt to provide the Vedantic philosophy studied within the court of the Guru. This text was created within the Kavi Darbar and provides the essence of Vedant within one text to prevent Sikhs from continuing to seek other forms of knowledge which may plummet them into doubts. Even within the text there are sections that mention the doctrine of the Bhagvat Gita and the Atam Bodh. This is the last of the main five Vedantic texts that has been translated for the benefit of the sangat. This should hopefully assist those who do not have a complete grasp of the Gurmukhi texts or the Punjabi vernacular. This book is a direct translation of the commentary completed by Sant Hari Singh Randhawe wale. This commentary is a lot easier to understand than the one created by Mahant Ganesha Singh and is more suited for those students looking to progress on the path of Sikhi.
