Free-spirited, and naive, Virtue wants to get the most out of her rumspringa by ignoring chores and enjoying the attention from a handsome high school jock, and Archie Yoder, a decent member of the community. But Virtue believes she can have it all for a little while.
Balancing a double life is hard, and though Virtue's heart tells her one thing, her head and friends tell her another. With a desire to travel and see the world, Virtue believes staying in the community will restrict her ambitions. But she can't imagine a life without her community.
Which path will Virtue choose? Or will life, in its many ironies, choose for her?
