Rachel Cohen de Lara was born in Amsterdam in 1942. Raised in a Christian environment, she discovered, on her eighteenth birthday, that her parents were not her biological parents. This had a huge impact on her life and she felt compelled to find her true identity. Although she is of Jewish descent, she could not apply everything that has to do with her being Jewish in her daily life. Spiritually, she has now found the right lifestyle for her; this is reflected in this book.
