This text recycles and extends the language of "Spirale 1-3" in both new and familiar contexts. It introduces a wide range of topics of interest to teenagers, such as problems, making complaints, home area, other cultures, the world of education, training and work. All the language required for GCSE and Standard Grade is covered. Differentiated activities challenge more able pupils while responding to the needs of lower achievers. The text conforms to the new GCSE criteria, but is also relevant to current topic-based syllabuses.
