The witch Tadea, accompanied by her pet raven, Gloomy, has to pay her dues if she has any hope of being readmitted to the Association of Annoying Witches, Inc. But while Tadea engages herself in all sorts of misdeeds in order to establish her witchy bona fides, Gloomy is relentlessly hounded by Carolina, a sickeningly sweet and arrogant fairy who is determined to turn him into a nightingale, a canary, a purple butterfly, or some other horrifyingly precious creature. Together, the three become involved in exciting adventures featuring broomstick rides, spells, and impossible missions, but what does fate have in store for these fun and eccentric characters? This story will teach children about the importance of working hard to achieve what they want, as well as the fact that not everything is always as it seems.
